London, UK. 7th January 2017. United Voices of the World union organised the protest outside luxury department store Harrods over the company's tips policy in their culinary department. Some 25% of the 12.5% service charge added to restaurants customers' bills are being shared among catering staff while Harrods, owned by the Qatari royal family, keeps the rest. The protestors supported by anarchist activists from Class War call for transparent tips policy and claimed that 100% of the service charge should go to the workers.
